NMS Book Club: Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan

Of all the fun times we've had at the Northridge Middle School Book Club, I think this was my favorite event so far!

 

Not only did we discuss an amazing book (Echo) by Pam Munoz Ryan, play charades and pictionary with concepts from the book, and of course sample cuisine that relates to the book, but we were also able to tie in music.  Music was a major theme in Echo, particularly the harmonica, so Mrs. Schmidt and I were elated to have teachers who are also musicians perform.Mrs. Schmidt entertained us with a tune: Auld Lang Syne.

 

During the program, we had a guitarist, Mr. Cone, and a harmonica player, Mr. Lind. They were definitely the stars of book club. Check out their music!

I don't know who had more fun today--the librarians, the teachers, or the students!
